Message from the Principal’s Office

Dear Cathedral Parents and Guardians,

Excitement and momentum continue to build as we grow closer to the new school year!  With our theme this year being HOPE, we are energized and filled with confidence, courage, and faith.

For those who may have missed past communication, I would like to reiterate that we are NOT mandating either masks or vaccines for anyone. However, we ARE strongly encouraging everyone who can get the vaccine to do so.  If your child gets the vaccine, you’re asked to email proof of the vaccination to our nurse, Marianne Vogt, at as soon as possible.

If you are unable or unwilling to vaccinate your child for any reason, we highly encourage having your child wear a mask while indoors at school. While we do not want to mandate the mask or the vaccine, we do want to encourage and promote that our students and educators make safe decisions for the good of our school and community. After prudent conversations with medical professionals, we feel our best chance to stay open and provide the very best face-to-face instruction as we did last year is to prevent the virus and specifically the delta variant from entering our school. The evidence is powerful that the vaccine is the best way to prevent that from happening.  We are all in this together. I thank you in advance for your efforts to create a safe environment for our students and our educators!
