Math “Open Gym” is a free opportunity for Cathedral students to gather with a Cathedral math teacher and National Honor Society tutors on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m.at school. This is not one-on-one tutoring or an opportunity to work ahead, but help will be available to do homework or to review with students in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, IB mathematics, and calculus. No reservations are necessary, but students are required to be picked up or to leave campus promptly at 4 p.m.  Students should wear their lanyards, enter through the student entrance, and report to Room 4100 upon arrival. (This room is in the cafeteria hallway at the opposite end of the hall from the cafeteria.) Students should come prepared with their books, iPads, and anything else that they use in their math classes.

Students are encouraged to attend with a classmate, so that pairs/small groups of students can work together on the same subject. A teacher and tutors will circulate and assist students.

Math “Open Gym” will be held on the following dates in the first semester:  Sept. 23, 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21; Nov. 4, 11, 18; Dec. 2, 9, 16.  (In the event that Open Gym is unexpectedly cancelled, an email will be sent to students.  Students should always check their email before coming to Open Gym.)
