All Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 10th. Because of the value of this test and the important information it will provide for college-bound students, parents are asked to avoid scheduling appointments before 1:00 pm on this day.
Students should report to their assigned testing rooms no later than 7:50 a.m. Room assignments will be communicated to students via email. Testing should be completed by 12:00 p.m. for those taking the standard test and 1:15 p.m. for those students taking the test with extended time. Students then will be dismissed from school. Lunch will not be served, however, students will be permitted to bring a snack to eat during a break.
For Juniors, the test serves as the qualifying exam for National Merit scholarships. For Sophomores, while the test results are not considered for their college admission, this PSAT does provide them with a valuable practice session and allows them to create an account to review their results and practice their skills.
If you have questions about the PSAT held on October 10, please contact your child’s school counselor.
