Kassie Braun ’15 Memorial Mass – November 7th

Wednesday, November 7th will mark the one year anniversary of the passing of Kassie Braun ’15. Cathedral will celebrate a mass in her memory at 7:15 a.m. in the chapel. Fr. Don Boscoe who presided over Kassie’s services and a close friend of the Braun family will be traveling to Cathedral from South Carolina to concelebrate mass. All visitors are welcome.

Dear Parents, Another fast paced week has come and gone!  As we head into fall break, we also head into an exciting weekend of athletic competitions! Best of Irish luck to our Girls Soccer team and the Boys/Girls Cross Country runners who will represent Cathedral in the State Championship on Saturday.  We will also be cheering for our football team who advanced to play Roncalli on Friday for a sectional semifinal game.  We are very proud of ALL of our student-athletes! Math League Opening Day!

After months of anticipation, the 2018-19 Math League season is underway! Huge thanks to all of the math teachers, Mrs. McCullough, Mrs. VanderMissen, Ms. Pereira, Dr. Greer, Ms. Johana Grill, Ms. Tiffanie Ditlevson, and the nearly 700 students who made opening day another successful and fun Cathedral event! 2018 Indiana Outstanding High School Student of Spanish Award

Natalie Schorr and Alexa Ongtawco have been selected as one of the recipients of the 2018 Indiana Outstanding High School Student of Spanish Award by the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese .  Please congratulate these students for outstanding academic record, exceptional interest for the Iberoamerican culture, exemplary community service, remarkable overseas experience and astonishing passion for Spanish who were nominated by their Spanish teachers Rose Egan, Kathy Darnell and Marybeth Morris.  

The Zone Coverage

WISH-TV will be coming Friday at 5pm for The Zone Tailgate party!  Our students will make posters, banners, signs etc. in order to show our school spirit, and enter a chance for Cathedral to win The Zone Championship Banner for the best student section!!  We need to bring our best school spirit when AC arrives. AC will also be giving out free t-shirts for the students!  Please help us by showing our best school spirit! Go Irish!

Dear Parents, WTHR-TV is broadcasting live from Cathedral tomorrow morning for Operation Football! If we get 500 students in the Welch Activity Center by 6:30 in the morning, Vice Principal Kubuske will let the Leprechaun shave his head!! Cathedral will be featured from 5:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow on WTHR’s morning news. We’ll have the band, cheerleaders, and lots of enthusiastic students!!  Parent will certainly want to tune into the morning of Irish Spirit!
