The state-mandated spring ISTEP+ assessments will be given on Feb. 26, Feb. 27, and Feb. 28 (extended time only on this date). On these school days, all sophomores will arrive by 7:50 a.m. and report to their assigned testing rooms.
School will start at 9:50 a.m. on February 26 and 28. Please note that because of longer English/language arts assessments, school will start at 10:20 a.m. on February 27 for students not taking ISTEP.
ISTEP Part 2 will occur during late start days on April 24, April 25 and April 26.
If your son or daughter is testing on these days, the school asks that you avoid scheduling appointments and to make every effort to ensure that your child arrives on time to school ready to take the test, including getting plenty of sleep the night before and eating a good breakfast on each test day.
Parents of juniors and seniors who retook the test in November received an email from the school last week about taking the option to take the test again Feb. 26 and Feb. 27.
Indiana high school students must pass both the English and math sections of the ISTEP in order to graduate.
Parents with questions may contact their child’s counselor or Erin Bethuram, Testing Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
