If there is one thing I have learned through Cathedral Moms in Prayer is that our prayers have the power to change lives. So instead of wringing our hands in distress, we can pray, regularly, intentionally, specifically – trusting them into God’s faithful care. So, if you have not joined us in the chapel this year and would like to see what we do, we openly invite you to stop by for 5 minutes, 15 minutes, whatever you can spare to experience our time in the chapel.
Over the six years I have prayed weekly for Cathedral, staff, teachers, alumni, students by far the most rewarding thing I have done is to get to know other Cathedral moms as we pray for each other’s children. Our bonds are unbreakable and it is truly amazing to see how our prayers have been answered for our children and our school.
In ten weeks, we will be looking for new leadership for Cathedral Moms in Prayer and I prayerfully ask you each to consider participating, inviting new moms to join or leading this group. Please feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions or would like more information. Please know that weekly we have prayed for you and our future leaders. This has been a truly rewarding investment of time, has strengthened my faith and deepened my love for this school and everyone here working and serving dear old Cathedral.
A community that prays together begins to understand, deeply, the meaning of the statement “Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:20). We really do have nothing to fear, nothing to be anxious about if Christ indeed lives in us. But making time to pray for your children, teachers, staff and your school community for just 30 minutes with other parents in the our school chapel is powerful and transformational. We welcome all Cathedral moms.
If you would like to stop by and experience Moms in Prayer, we meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays- in March we will meet on Wednesday 3/13, Tuesday 3/19, or Wednesday 3/27. Everyone is truly always welcome.
