Congratulations to Megan Kaster ’20 on her outstanding performance at the All Ireland Dancing Championships in Ireland! Kaster placed seventh in her soft shoe recall, 37th in her hard shoe recall, and 39th overall. Thousands of dancers from all over the world compete in this event. In April, Kaster will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to participate in the World Championships of Irish Dance. Congratulations, Megan Kaster, and know that your Cathedral Irish family is extremely proud of you!
Congratulations to Abby Thomas ’19, pictured bottom row, second from the left, on her selection to the Indiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council. The group held its first Legislative Day earlier this month, and advised the Indiana General Assembly on topics related to Indiana youth through the suggestion, endorsement, and advocacy of relevant legislation and policy. Way to go, Abby Thomas!

The final SAT prep class of the school year will begin Monday, March 11. The class meets six times on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30. This session will end on April 29, the Monday before the May SAT test date. The class is open to all grade levels but is probably best for sophomores and juniors. We have 3 spots open for the Spring Mission Trip. Did you know that Spring Mission Trip hours can count for the 2019-2020 Service Requirement? This is a great way for the Juniors to complete Senior hours now! However, students must have completed this year hours, prior to the trip, in order to use these hours for next year. We will depart on Saturday March 30th and return Saturday April 6th. We stay on John’s Island and will be volunteering at a local school, doing home repair projects, and community outreach. With just one math league competition left in the 2018-19 competition season, Senior Blake Lowe continues to lead the field with 24 points.
