Rugby Team Info Night and Callout

The 2019 rugby season is about to start! The Royal Irish are eager to defend their state championship and grab the 2019 national title in Salt Lake City, UT. There will be a callout with coach Terry Rankin for new and returning ruggers during flex, Tuesday, Dec. 4. Please check daily announcements for location. Also, on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30P, there will be an information and pre-registration meeting for players and parents at the Knights of Columbus, 2100 E 71st St. See you there!

Students Honored by the Indiana High School Press Association

A current Cathedral student and two members of the class of 2018 have been honored by the Indiana High School Press Association for work printed or posted on the Megaphone student newspaper last year. Each year, the press organization sponsors the Harvey Awards, which recognize individual student journalists for their work in categories such as writing, editing, design and photography. Anna Pohl ’19, the current co-editor-in-chief of the Megaphone, was named the first-place winner in editorial writing in Division II, high schools with enrollments between 1,001 and 2,000. Mothers book club

All ladies are invited to The Mothers Book club. We will be meeting at MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill and Pub Restaurant 4939 E 82nd St, Indianapolis, IN 46250. 11:15-1:15- come as as your time permits. Cathedral Hockey

We have some fun things planned for our Knights hockey home opener this Saturday, November 17 against Columbus, IN! There will be a “Chuck a puck” before the 3rd period (after the zamboni resurfaces the ice) and a T-shirt toss for the fans. Kassie Braun ’15 Memorial Mass – November 7th

Wednesday, November 7th will mark the one year anniversary of the passing of Kassie Braun ’15. Cathedral will celebrate a mass in her memory at 7:15 a.m. in the chapel. Fr. Don Boscoe who presided over Kassie’s services and a close friend of the Braun family will be traveling to Cathedral from South Carolina to concelebrate mass. All visitors are welcome.

Math League Opening Day!

After months of anticipation, the 2018-19 Math League season is underway! Huge thanks to all of the math teachers, Mrs. McCullough, Mrs. VanderMissen, Ms. Pereira, Dr. Greer, Ms. Johana Grill, Ms. Tiffanie Ditlevson, and the nearly 700 students who made opening day another successful and fun Cathedral event!
