Acting I

Hi Tyler,
Here is the course description to add to an Acting I slide course offering.
For beginners and experienced thespians alike, Acting I is a chance to get comfortable in your own skin. Morgan Freeman said, “What I learn from the great actors I work with [is] stillness. That’s all, and that’s the hardest thing.” Let’s hone skills to boost confidence, body awareness, speaking, text analysis, and staging. We will experiment with various acting techniques, watch and analyze performances, and develop skills for performance and being your authentic self — on the stage and off.

Students can learn set building, costume making, makeup application, as well as acting and directing skills.  Courses are available beginning with the College Prep level, moving into Academic and Honors level.
